What is the critical truth? For some, the critical truth is how they were brought up. What they were taught is law and nothing else matters. Others, it’s their faith in something or another. For me, among many, it is about reading between the lines.
When I was young, I was always encourage to open my mind to possibilities, to be critical in order to improve, be logical, use common sense and be practical. But the most important thing was to be able to read between the lines.
Critical thinking is probably the most important skill one could have. Unfortunately, it seems that many don’t have it. What is incredible, although not surprising, is that it is not only concentrated on the uneducated but at every single education and class society level. It doesn’t matter if one has finished high school to the one who enjoys writing “PHD, CCC, ABC” by their name; some people simply have no clue as to what is going on around them. Although the contrary is also true, it seems hard for it to manifest itself. It seems, that people just have their own “little world” in their heads and nothing else matters.
It is a fact of life now that stupidity and carelessness is everywhere. It seems that no one really gives a damn about the person beside them. It is a hard truth to accept but in the world of the digital age, our goal to be a global community has become a very lonely individual road. We seem to be only concerned with ourselves and nothing else. Rudeness, is just a part of life that we have learned to accept. Why should you? Weren’t we all brought up on some principals or have we just decided to throw them away?
So what is the Critical Truth? I will be critical and tell you the reality of things based on simple pratical thinking. Don’t think this is going to be a ranting blog because it is not. I plan to cover as much as I can, at my own pace. Let it be society, economics, technology or entertainment (among others) I will write about things that are important for me and things that we should all seriously think about. I will also write product reviews when I can as well as, on occasion, provide a photo story of events happening in my area.
Be prepared though! Some days you will love me, other days hate me. If you don’t like what I write then go to another website or go watch some Teletubbies on TV, I won’t care. I will say it as it is and I don’t care if your “self-esteem” is hurt by it.
Why? Because sometimes, the truth and reality of how things really are hurts!
